A lifetime of missed deadlines and unfinished stories breeds deep, deep chronic shame. We internalize harsh self-judgment and shield ourselves from external criticism. And we use lies, simple or elaborate, to defend ourselves. We mask our struggles, fake our progress, and isolate our creativity. But true healing begins when we can be our imperfect, messy, and wild selves. This session explores the roots of internalized shame, unmasks the “harmless” ways we lie to ourselves and others, and offers gentle, practical paths toward radical acceptance of our work.
