I would like to talk about writing as a process – from the dopamine-induced ideas phase, to organizing ideas, to writing a messy draft, to editing, also looking at when and how to share writing and building recovery into the process, not using it as a reward. Building a writing practice around these phases in a way that is in tune with your intentions, lifestyle, and brain. My personal challenge has always been skipping the organizational phase and jumping into writing as soon as the ideas strike. But when the dopamine wears off, the writing dwindles. And if the story was never organized (I don’t mean a detailed outline) then you risk getting completely overwhelmed.
