Escape Burnout and Distraction with “Constellation Writing”

Writing can be a joy, but over the course of a long project, it can also become tiring and draining. You sit down full of intention, but somewhere in the middle of the chapter the energy thins out and your mind drifts. Most writing advice treats that drift as the enemy: stay in the moment, focus harder, push through. In my approach, Constellation Writing, we start from the opposite idea: the impulse to jump away and wander can be very useful. After all, every chapter you write has a constellation of related ideas, scenes, and alternatives around it. When you stall on the main storyline or argument, you can follow the impulse to another part of the project, leaving a trail so nothing gets lost. In this session I’ll show you the Constellation Writing method — and a free tool that go with it — so you can try it on your own manuscript the same day.
