Dee is a writing coach for neurodivergent humans who may or may not be
“Writers” but who have to write for work and struggle to do so. Her journey to following this calling late in life began with her own diagnosis of ADHD in her 40s, while helping neurodivergent university students with writing challenges. Many years later, while applying for government jobs, she started exploring strategies for managing her ADHD, which was becoming unmanageable. She discovered that ADHD was affecting every single aspect of her life, including her writing. As her understanding deepened, she began to reframe her writing challenges as ADHD challenges. This reframing informs Dee's work supporting (mostly) women with a mid-life ADHD diagnosis (or no formal diagnosis). With empathy and compassion, she helps them figure out how to work with their brain and not against it, so writing is less painful and more fruitful.
